Specialist in Chromatography and Physicochemical

We are currently hiring for a Specialist in Chromatography and Physicochemical Analysis for our Orindiúva facility.

**Responsibilities**
- Analysis of test by HPLC, GC, and other methods, including routine sample processing, and critical interpretation and evaluation of analytical data
- Maintenance of analytical instruments
- Maintain an accurate notebook, write SOP’s, reports, certificates and present the group work at meetings
- Organization of the laboratory, maintaining adequate conditions of hygiene, safety and cleanliness
- Verification and implementation of methodologies and compendial analysis related to the process and products
- Evaluation of analytical documentation, following specific rules and legislation, survey of materials, equipment and supplies in the Quality Control Sector and Processes;
- Other equipment handling: Karl Fisher, Ultrassonic baths, Spectrophotometers, Refractometers, Mass Spectrometry, Colorflex, Granulometer (Mastersizer 3000) among other analytical equipment.
- Assistance in managing the sector, always contributing ideas and improvements to achieve goals and objectives for the sector and the company in general.
- Contribution to the laboratory schedule with information provided and received at the daily schedule meeting.
- Gradual transfer of knowledge to other co-workers through training and refresher training;
- Compliance with company policy and safety standards.
- Participate in discussions of non-conformities related to product risks and Good Manufacturing Practices in the sector.
- Suggest process improvements with a view to adapting to the Food Quality and Safety Management System.
- Follow all Safety guidelines required to carry out the activities, as well as in any environment of the company.
- Comply with the requirements of the Quality and Food Safety Management System.
- Have good communication, systemic view of the production process and the laboratory, analytical skills, focusing on results.
- Investigating Out-of-Specification (OOS) Test Results.
**Qualifications**
- Applicants will possess either a BS/MS degree in chemistry or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience with GC, HPLC and hardware troubleshooting is strongly required, including method development, as desired.
- Experience with GC, including method development and hardware troubleshooting, strongly desired
- Advanced knowledge of and experience with a wide range of scientific instrumentation and ancillary equipment
- Computer skills (hardware, Excel, instrumentation software, Microsoft Windows-based operating systems)
- Desirable knowledge in the development of new methods to support programs of the scientific area according to technology transference and process requests
- Familiarization with OpenLab Chemstation, EZChrom, CDS, and Lab Solutions, strongly desired
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills and the ability to work independently in a multi-disciplinary, fast-paced, high through-put R&D environment are essential
- Highly collaborative, self-motivated, team-oriented individual
- Fluency in English
