InterMoor is currently looking to add an experienced Inspector to their team based in Rio de Janeiro on a full time, permanent basis. The Inspector will perform mooring inspections and mooring equipment inspections, both on and offshore, and will prepare reports and presentations on NDT activities.

Duties
- Perform inspections of materials typical of towing and handling systems (anchoring systems), such as moorings, steel cables, synthetic cables, shackles, connecting links and other connecting accessories (e.g. shackles and load hooks)
- This includes the following modalities: visual inspection, dimensional inspection and magnetic particle (PM), liquid penetrant (LP) and ultrasound (US) tests
- Record the inspection data and prepare the inspection report (at least its initial version for evaluation by onshore technical support)
- Provide information about possible safety hazards and offer suggestions for corrective action
- Review project plans and drawings to ensure they meet local codes
- Perform NDT inspections in accordance with approved procedures, work instructions, and quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of all inspection activities in the prescribed format
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders as required to coordinate inspection activities
- Assist in the development and revision of NDT procedures, work instructions, and quality standards
- Select and maintain appropriate NDT equipment and supplies
- Calibrate and maintain NDT equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications and quality standards
- Plan and execute NDT projects in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Investigate and troubleshoot NDT problems and issues
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Required
- Technical training, with a certificate issued by an institution recognized by the MEC, in Mechanical Technician; or Electromechanical Technician; or Equipment Inspection Technician
- 12 months' experience working as a technician in the training area
- Level 2 certification according to NA-001 from ABENDI (SNQC/END manual)
- Fluent in English - speaking, reading, and writing
