**ABOUT THE COMPANY**

**Position Title**: Finance Controller

**Entity**: EG Latam

**Location**: São Paulo, BR

**Reports To**: Finance Director LATAM

**RESPONSABILITIES**
- Payments for the Latam Region (Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Spain). To release all the payments for the entire region, including invoices, taxes, payroll and travel expenses.
- Responsible for moving the cash to make sure each entity has enough money to cover its cash needs. To make sure the cash is entered in each country in the most efficient way (SHL vs equity).
- Responsible to set up all the users in Concurs and to final approve the travel expenses of the employees.
- Responsible for Internal audit; To make sure all the controls are put in place as per the company’s policy.
- Works with external auditors for annual local audits (mainly in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil and Spain). Works with external auditors for annual corporate audit (as some of the entities are material).
- Revenue recognition responsible. To make sure each sale transaction is recorded properly from a revenue recognition point of view. To make sure all the criteria is met to recognize the revenue. Coordination with technical accounting for the analysis of the gross profit for each transaction.
- Overseeing the budget for the opex and for the projects.
- Responsible for the month end close and year end.
- Ensure all the transactions and assets are properly accounted for in the company’s books, ensure financial records and reporting is in compliance with US GAAP standards (corporate level) and IFRS (local books), t o make sure all the accruals needed are booked on time, to make sure all the key accounts are reconciled (equity vs investment, intercompany transactions, cash, debt, fixed assets) and to understand and analyse the variations of the key accounts.
- Responsible of the relationship with external local accountants. To make sure all the information is sent to them on time. To provide all the information needed to book all the transactions in order to be delivered on time. To validate all the information and to convert the local figures into US GAAP figures.
- Responsible for uploading all the TB in HFM on a monthly basis.
- To prepare financial reports to Management (monthly and quarterly): like cash flows, AOP variations and P&L for each region.
- Responsible to optimize the opex of the region, making sure all the interest expenses and opex has been capitalized and allocated to each project.
- To make sure all the recharges we made from Spanish entity to the rest of latam entities, are following transfer price policies. To make sure the proper mark up is included in the recharges. To make sure we optimize all previous losses we have in the holding entities making recharges to each project.
- Supports other departments that need financial information
- Responsible for tax filing in Spain

**REQUIREMENTS**
- + 10 years of relevant work experience
- + 7 years of experience managing teams
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish. Good level of English
- Experience with large ERP (SAP, Oracle or Netsuite)
- Experience streamlining accounting processes

**PREFERRED**
- Master in accounting or accounting certification (CPA or equivalent)
- Project accounting experience
- Public accounting with audit experience
- Renewables or construction industry experience
- ERP implementation experience
