**Job Description**:
**Hybrid**:Work physically at General Motors 3 times per week (TUE-THU)

**Role**:
The position will be responsible for purchasing process of parts destined to aftermarket.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Plans, initiates, coordinates, and monitors business relations with dedicated suppliers
- Support creation of market analyses and implement purchasing strategies.
- Define and implement profitable purchasing strategies and effective negotiation tactics
- Monitor the supply market continuously and manage and optimize the supplier portfolio to ensure quality, cost efficiency, on-time-delivery, sustainability, and compliance with terms of contracts as well as legal regulations.
- Negotiate prices and conditions in the context of GM Policies and manage contracts with suppliers.
- Plans and follows up the business strategies with Marketing and Supply Chain areas
- Accountable for Kpis

**Key Stakeholders**:

- GPSC team (Direct Material Purchasing, PPM and Finance);
- CCA team (Marketing, Sales, Logistics, Supply Chain)
- GBS

all levels, directors, managers, and peers

**Additional Job Description**:
**Qualifications and Skills (mandatory)**
- Bachelor's Degree - Preferable: Engineering, Business Administration, Economics
- Advanced Spanish
- Fluent English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (mainly Excel and Powerpoint)
- Strong knowledge of purchasing and supply chain operations
- Expertise and familiarity with supplier’s base and main economics drivers
- Proficient in cost breakdown analysis and strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge and understanding of corporate processes
- Strong interpersonal skills - Communication, Team worker, Relationship Management
- Capability to work in cross functional tasks
- Previous experience with automotive parts / commodities purchasing
- Effective problem-solving techniques
- Driver for results

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with SAP and/or other ERP management software
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Continuous improvement mindset. Ability to identify and make process recommendations
- Customer focus / customer oriented
- Analytical power
