**Job Description**:
**Business Leader**

The **Business Leader’s**principal role is to develop and lead the execution of the account strategy, in turn driving revenue and profit growth with transformational ideas, innovative business solutions, award-winning creative work, value creation and client performance for his/her assigned group of accounts. The Business Leader will build trusted client relationships and collaborate to leverage the full capability of McCann Port of Spain and McCann Worldgroup. The Business leader should continually identifies opportunities to enhance the agency’s offering, providing thought leadership and sharing best practice to the rest of the agency and to the network as a whole.

**About the Role**:
Specific responsibilities and deliverables include:

- Design, rationalize and deliver account strategy aligned to the Client’s overall business strategy and key business drivers including a clear Agency value proposition for the Client.
- Periodically conduct strategy sessions with relevant agency and client teams to ensure effective two-way communication and inputs and alignment to annual Account Plans
- Contribute to developing the annual budget for the account in line with the agency’s overall budget and the communication objectives of the client(s).
- Effectively managing business planning and account management activity, and Manage the revenue and cost performance against financial targets.
- Keep Head of Business Leadership up to date and is accountable for account goals and priorities as they develop and change.
- Take clear ownership on all aspects of the Client’s activity, including resources, timelines, communication, etc. but do it appropriately and sensitively to all stakeholders involved.
- Establish “trusted advisor” relationships, as confirmed by client feedback, across key Client influencers and decision-makers by delivering relevant insight and consultative advice that exceeds client expectations and provides proactive, innovative and value-added solutions to meet business needs.
- Conduct regular account reviews (two-way feedback) with the primary Client stakeholders, manage other Client stakeholders, and monitor Client satisfaction and perception of what’s going on within the agency relationship.
- Present and fully engage the client with the performance/analytic tools. Educate key client stakeholders on the full suite of capabilities available and how we can help them manage their business.
- Pre-empt any client review - keep a pulse on the clients business problems, anticipate needs and proactively offer solutions; continually and convincingly promote and deliver the agency/Worldgroup network and capabilities.
- Lead any business development activity that supports account goals through understanding of Client issues, research and innovation; identify and explore emerging needs, drive proposals and pitches, acting as a strategist on the account, utilizing skills and resources as appropriate.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**

Your experience will include:

- At least 5 years of experience in relevant marketing industry sectors, ideally within a large international organization.
- Strong business acumen (MBA, financial or strategy training, etc)
- Operating at a senior level in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Comfortable in and able to expand in digital ecosystems
- Strategic thinking, clear talking
- Tech savvy, understands the emerging/social media and digital landscape
- Understands and has had experience with integrated marketing solutions
- Leadership skills in managing multiple projects, gaining and maintaining alignment with relevant teams
- Experience of building collaborative relationships requiring strong influencing skills, not just managing in a hierarchy
- Track record in strategic selling skills
- Proven track record in selling innovative, game changing creative ideas & platforms.
- Experience of working closely with and presenting to seasoned and C-level client senior management
- Ability to sell creative work and see it produced. Understanding of how to position work and advocate for it.
- Successfully deliver cases applicable for the creative and effectiveness awards.
