OSM Thome is currently seeking a 3rd Officer (3/O) to join the crew of the tanker vessel Madre de Deus. The vessel is a Crude Oil tanker and is flagged in Brazil. The joining port for this position is Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Chief Officer in the safe and efficient operation of the vessel
- Carry out navigational duties, including watchkeeping, chart corrections, and passage planning
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of navigational activities and safety equipment
- Conduct safety drills and exercises as required
- Assist in the supervision and training of junior officers and crew members
- Monitor and maintain the vessel's safety and security systems

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 1 year of experience as a 3rd Officer on a tanker vessel
- Valid STCW certification, including Officer of the Watch (OOW) license
- Proficient in navigational and safety procedures
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team
- Familiarity with Brazilian maritime regulations and practices is preferred
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
