Due to our continued success and need to scale further, we have an exciting and brand-new leadership role based out of Sri Lanka. Reporting to our CTO and working alongside fellow Directors, the Director of Engineering is a key leadership role in our Group’s technical division. The role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills, coupled with developing the skills and talents of others. The role will identify and navigate organisational changes and possess a keen interest in international trends in engineering and leadership.

Key parts of your remit will be:

- Manage and support diverse teams of principal engineers and engineering managers.
- Recruit top talent to build a best-in-class engineering team; responsible for hiring and capacity planning
- Enable learning and knowledge sharing across the organization, leveling up our engineering practices and mentoring other specialists.
- Manage overall technology budget and identifying key areas of cost and efficiency improvement opportunities.
- Form cross-functional and cross-discipline partnerships to drive engineering efforts.
- Establish effective strategies and execute against them.
- Identify opportunities in which technology can deliver and maintain a competitive advantage to the company.
- Create a collaborative, resilient and highly engaged work culture.

Our new Directors will have proven experience as a manager of managers (teams of 30+ engineers) and establishing and measuring OKRs. You have a good understanding of how to lead and inspire through others.

You have a good understanding of system design and are passionate about what you do and have a high interest in keeping up with current best practices in your areas of expertise.

As a senior leader in our group, you will need to be a great influencer with excellent communication skills, you love sharing your knowledge with others and helping them grow.
