Overview:

- A Data Custodian and Quality Analyst is an oversight or data governance role within an organization and is responsible for ensuring the quality and fitness for purpose of the organization's data assets, including the metadata for those data assets. A Data Custodian and Quality Analyst would also participate in the development and implementation of data assets

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage data access / provisioning by:

- Define access permission plan
- Monitor distribution of data from the domain
- Approve data provisioning to authorized users
- Support data users as a SME of data in domain
- Ensure data access and provisioning comply with standards and controls
- Determine official sources of data in scope to address use case requirements
- Define / validate business definitions for data elements and implement changes where needed; review data lineage and technical metadata for data elements
- Define business rules and standards for data within domain, prioritize issues to remediate, and oversee remediation planning and implementation
- Lead root cause analysis, prioritize and manage data quality issue mgt and remediation

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Ability to translate business requirements into technical data requirements
- Knowledge of the data sources, transformation rules, and uses of the data for the area of stewardship
- Expertise in data quality, glossaries etc.
- Experience in leading teams and stakeholder management in complex programs
- Strong project management leadership and leadership experience
- Experience in performance management metrics
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Clear leadership mindset
- Ability to influence others
- Respected within the organization across disparate stakeholder groups
