**Job Purpose**

**Core Responsibilities**
- Flavour Application_
- Identify appropriate flavour delivery systems and technologies for customer projects in multiple applica-tions
- Knowledge sharing & expertise_
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with multiple customers; able to gain their trust and respect
- Consistently participate as a local champion for new technologies
- Coach, train, and motivate technicians, technologists and scientists
- Recommend appropriate lab/pilot plant equipment needed for capital project investments
- Data Management_
- Actively maintain the flavour performance data for the flavour portfolio through evaluation in finished product and capture of profiles
- Environmental Health & Safety_
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment in accordance with EH&S policies and hold others accountable for following these guidelines

**Academic Background**
- Polytechnic or B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or
- Master's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or
- Ph.D. in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology

**Professional experience**

**Technical Skills**
- Ability to prepare and present basic technical presentations
- Ability to supervise and manage technicians and technologists and instruct scientists
- Understanding of Analytical/Sensory methodology as relevant to flavour selection
