About the Team
SoundOn is a platform powered by TikTok to help new and independent music creators distribute their music globally.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop strategy and set measurable publishing goals according to business objectives. Review songwriters onboarding, revenue, market share results and monitor business progress regularly, to identify problems, business opportunities and find solutions
- Responsible for discovering and signing songwriters
- Create the proposal and evaluate the advance offer to song writers
- Build networks with local publishing societies
- Establish close relationships with commercial partners, agencies, to secure business results
- Negotiate with local platforms, brands, like TV, radio, digital platforms, for sync and content licenses
- Work with a legal team to create publishing agreements
- Analyze the P&L, revenue, to understand the business status quo and improve the strategy
- Over 7+ years of relevant working experience
- Excellent knowledge of publishing and music industry in Brazil (general LATAM market as a plus)
- Great relationships with local copyright societies, such as public performance and mechanical copyright (UBC, Abramus, UBEM, etc)
- Deep knowledge of neighbouring rights and ECAD licensing model as well as relationships with the 7 local societies in BR (payment %, money flow, etc)
- Knowledge, and possible networking established, with BackOffice system/reporting
- Established relationship with labels and independents (knowledge of master record copyright)
- Proficiency in English communication.
