BBC Chartering is one of the world leading companies in transportation of non-containerized goods, head-quartered in Leer,

Germany. We operate a diverse fleet of more than 150 modern multipurpose vessels with lifting capacities up to 1400 mts in

30 offices around the world. We are constantly developing the portfolio of vessels with a substantial new building program

where the trend is larger vessels with higher lifting capacity.

For our office in São Paulo, Brazil, we are looking for:
Port Captain (M/F/d)
Your main tasks are:
n Prepare stowage plans & pre-planning of vessel ś port calls

n Supervise planned hot works, discharge
- and loading operations

n Check and approve operational expenses incurred

n Comply with reporting BBC requirements

Your key qualifications:
n Nautical, Logistic or Terminal background

n Good knowledge of vessel operations with break bulk / project cargo

n Cost conscious with attention to detail

n High sense of team spirit

n Good communication skills

n Ability to handle a fast-paced working environment where the waves at times can be high

n Availability to travel all around west coast of SA

n Fluent command of both written and oral English

n Computer skills
