Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications.
- 4 years of experience in communications, PR, media or technology.
- Experience in external communications, including building relationships with media, training and supporting spokespeoples, and writing, editing, and posting various communications content.
- Ability to speak and write in Portuguese and English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

- Ability to focus, prioritize, and maintain good judgment in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt quickly and escalate. Ability to think, plan and execute on multiple projects simultaneously in an organized fashion.
- Ability to work with colleagues in various geographies and understand cultural differences. Ability to influence stakeholders.
- Eagerness to understand how tasks are performed in an organization. Organized and motivated.
- Writing and editing skills.

**About the job**:
As a member of the Global Communications & Public Affairs team, you will work cross-functionally to help communicate with journalists and other thought leaders; devise specific communications materials and campaigns; engage in face-to-face meetings with commentators and other opinion formers; and develop print and web-based material supporting these campaigns. We're looking for great communicators who can understand complex issues and explain them in person and also via well written, simple blog posts, FAQs, video scripts and more.

As a Product and Corporate Communications Manager, you'll lead and develop communication strategies in Brazil for our consumer products and corporate initiatives. Working closely with our Engineering and Public Policy teams, you will also manage, develop, and execute communication plans to address relevant topics to Google and our users. You will create connections with journalists, opinion formers and media outlets to drive awareness of both the challenges and opportunities we have in Brazil.

We help inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders-and our own employees-about the benefits of Google's products, our distinctive company culture/values and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day. You are quick-witted, entrepreneurial and intellectually curious. To succeed in this role, you are willing to try new things and can manage numerous projects with tight deadlines. Things happen quickly at Google, and to do great work, you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally with partners across PR, Communications, Marketing, Product, and beyond.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain close, productive relationships with key journalists and influencers
- Craft and implement strategic communications plans aimed at enhancing the reputation of our products
- Contribute to the design of events and experiences to promote our products and initiatives to users, businesses, partners, and the community in general
- Design a communications roadmap across numerous formats and moments that helps to assimilate and deliver the strategy, boost team engagement, and encourage Google-wide advocacy
- Produce editorial content for regular communications and one-off engagements for audiences including internal teams, external Key Opinion Formers, consumers, journalists, businesses, and communities
