The SHE Manager, Americas, and Biologics supply will provide SHE support, lead program transformation, and drive continuous improvement across a portfolio of 10+ sites in AstraZeneca Operations. This role will lead and influence functional strategy and ensure implementation and compliance and will report to the SHE Director for the combined region.

The role can be based in the America's region to include Puerto Rico and Brazil.

**What you will do**:

- Actively advocate for sites to ensure that programs and solutions align with site needs and are completed in the most impactful and pragmatic fashion.
- Help sites complete a regional strategy for achieving SHE performance targets, including Natural Resource Reduction targets (Sustainability.)
- Oversee and lead the regional SHE management review processes (i.e., weekly tier, monthly & quarterly management reviews)
- Lead the sharing of good practices, improvement ideas, and expertise across the region to problem-solve local challenges.
- Use data-informed and risk-based approaches to identify and troubleshoot issues, raising when additional support is required.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 10 years of direct experience in Safety, Health, and Environmental or a blend of operations leadership with an emphasis on SHE.
- In-depth knowledge of the area of work and significant experience across multiple technical areas of Safety, Health, and Environmental.
- Demonstrated analytical expertise in managing SHE data and reporting at scale.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, domestically and internationally.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or safety/environmental management is helpful.
- Recent prior front-line experience serving as a site SHE leader either at AstraZeneca or in a related industry sector.
- Technical expertise in multiple SHE topics including environmental compliance, environmental sustainability, process safety, waste reduction/recycling, industrial hygiene, and ergonomics.
- A skilled practitioner of Lean techniques including process mapping, practical problem solving, standard work, and visual management.
- Professional certification (CSP, CIH, PE, CHMM, etc.) with a passion for self-development and continuous learning.
- Experienced user of Enablon SHE management software, including report generation and base module administration.
