Health & Biosciences (formerly from DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences) is one of the four business divisions within IFF. We serve a large variety of end markets and our products can be found in thousands of products around the world. Our portfolio includes animal health solutions & feed enzymes, cultures for plant-based food, dairy cultures, dietary fibers, food enzymes, and enzymes and yeast for fuel ethanol. Our specific end-markets include home & personal care, animal nutrition, grain processing, microbial control, food and dietary supplements.
The purpose of this role is to make IFF H&B the partner of choice for Personal Care customers, cultivating and developing professional and productive relationships with existing and potential customers that help to reach strategic revenue growth and profit goals.
**Long Description**:
**Major Responsibilities**
- Achieve annual sales targets, maintain accurate demand/sales forecasts for customer base.
- Maintain and develop a customer base, including regional key accounts and channel partners. Develop a deep understanding of the customer’s business and growth.
- Develop business opportunities for portfolio and pipeline of innovative and transformational personal care ingredients with existing and new customers
- Customer contacts and opportunities to be documented in CRM (Sales Force)
- Develop, present and negotiate sales contracts and other business-related agreements with customers.
- Manage and build strong, long lasting relationships with key customer decision makers and stakeholders at all levels and functions (R&D, procurement, marketing, quality, supply chain, executive level); effectively lead IFF (internal) multi-functional key account teams to support building customer relationships. Provide market insights to global organization.
- Develop and execute account plans for key regional (and global) accounts, including sales pipeline, relationship strategy, to grow and expand business
- Effectively resolve quality or service issues that arise
- Execute global and regional personal care business strategies
- Contribute to the PC global and LA market strategy, representing key regional customer needs.
- Monitor and share with colleagues competitive activity and product launches
- Represent IFF at key regional PC events (In Cosmetics, FCE, etc)
**Job Requirements**:
- 5-10 years of sales experience in supplying Personal Care ingredients
- Proven technical knowledge of Personal Care formulations
- Education - Bachelor’s degree required - preferably in a science-related field. Formulation skills are highly valued and will be considered a plus
- Functional skills - proven business planning, sales/networking, execution, and follow-through skills required
- experience setting annual goals and action plans for the or territory including key account plans
- experience providing education and training to influence sales growth
- demonstrated success in identifying and developing new business opportunities in sales
- Domestic travel up to 50% of time
- Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish
