The improvement of the “Atlas do Estado Brasileiro” platform will contribute to expanding the analysis capacity on the structure of the Brazilian State, as well as facilitating the work of data analysis by different researchers interested in deepening analyzes on public administration issues. With greater ability to explore reorganized data, it is intended to support discussions for the improvement of public policies.

**Responsibilities**:
Building means to integrate databases and explore them in an agile and simplified way has become an indispensable resource for applied analyzes aimed at understanding public policies and subsidizing analyzes that propose their improvement.

The Atlas of the Brazilian State has been consolidating itself as an essential platform for promoting research and making available analyses and data on the functional structures of the federation, reaching the three levels of government and the three branches of government.
Although this platform has already reached a considerable degree of maturity in the structuring of the information bases used, there is a considerable volume of explorations and extractions, both in the area of more sophisticated analysis of aspects of how the public sector functions, as well as in making the information accessible to the public interested.
The professional to be hired here will have as a main activity the generation of this structure of integration, extraction, and availability of new information for the consumption of other researchers.

The activities that guide the research are the following:
1) To improve the integration between databases in the themes listed above with an aim to tabulate time sequences and more detailed analyzes of the questions that the research intends to explore, notably within the scope of the Atlas of the Brazilian State;
2) To propose new data modeling in order to adapt the structure to the new needs of the platforms;
3) To produce documentation of the main integrated bases, their transformations and manipulations;
4) To produce reports describing the tabulations and integrations of the data series available on the platform.
5) To update information, incorporating data from more recent years and, when appropriate, correcting values, such as updates related to inflation rates.

Qualifications/special skills
- An advanced university degree (master's degree) in computer science, informatics and related fields;
Minimum of 03 (three) years of experience in managing complex databases related to the public sector, analysis and development of systems and related topics,

Languages
- Fluency in Portuguese and reading in English.

Additional Information
Outputs/ Works Assignment:
The consultancy will carry out the improvement and integration between the databases with the objective of tabulating temporal sequences and more detailed analyzes of the “Atlas do Estado Brasileiro” platform. It will present 4 reports (products) in the following order and dates:
Product 1. Report containing a description of the data integration process of RAIS and Siape to analyze the profile of the governing federal bureaucracy and consolidated database. To be submitted 60 days after start date.
Product 2 - Descriptive report of actions with updated values, such as remuneration of civil servants (since 1985) to current prices; updating the graphics in the Atlas do Estado Brasileiro platform and the respective generated database. To be submitted 90 days after start.
Product 3 - Report containing data structuring actions with quantitative of occupations in the public sector, by levels, by powers, by race, by gender and their respective remuneration deciles, throughout the time series. The report must be accompanied by the database and dictionary of variables. To be submitted 150 days after start.
The reports should be drafted in Portuguese in an editable format agreed with the supervisor..
