**Job Duties**:
**Position Summary**
- Responsible for designing, testing, and documenting the firmware for multiple subsystems targeting a Halliburton wireline tool under development;
- He/She will collaborate with Halliburton development teams based in the US and Singapore.
- He/She will work close to the Electrical Engineering team, Systems Engineer, and the Project Manager at the Halliburton Technology Center in Brazil (HBTC).

**Qualifications**:
**Qualification**
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Control Engineering, Computer Science, or similar areas with sufficient experience is acceptable.
- A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in one of the areas above is desired.

**Experience**
- At least 3 years of experience in firmware development on multiple platforms;
- Knowledge in programming microcontrollers for signal measurement, signal processing, and feedback control;
- Experience with firmware development for digital communication (MIL-STD-1553, RS-485, CAN, SPI, I²C, etc.);
- Demonstrated ability to look-ahead at firmware validation requirements, and develop/execute test plans and test setups, utilizing both firmware and hardware debugging tools.
- Knowledge in hardware description languages for FPGAs (VHDL, Verilog, etc.);
- Experience in signal integrity analysis using lab test equipment and simulation, and performing logic/timing analysis.
- Experience with commonly used computational languages (C, C++, Assembly, etc.)
- Timely document technical reports.
- Ability to innovate, self-motivated, strong teamwork, adaptability, communication, and writing skills are required.
- Fluent in English.
