Content Strategist

**The Role**:
McCann Worldgroup is seeking a passionate and creative Content Strategist to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind the development and execution of compelling content strategies for our diverse client portfolio. You'll collaborate closely with creative, digital, and social media teams to ensure our content is engaging, impactful, and aligned with client objectives.

**What You Will Do**:
**The Content Strategist for McCann Worldgroup will be responsible for the following**:
**Content Strategy Development**:

- Conduct in-depth research and analysis to understand client needs, target audiences, and industry trends.
- Develop comprehensive content strategies that align with client business goals and brand identity. These can include online and offline experiential marketing tactics that create content opportunities.
- Define content pillars, messaging frameworks, and editorial calendars.
- Identify and recommend the most effective content formats and channels for each client.

**Content Creation and Execution**:

- Oversee and contribute to the creation of high-quality content across various formats, including social media content, website copy, blog posts, articles, videos, and infographics.
- Recommend and manage influencer relationships for clients where applicable.
- Collaborate with internal and external writers, designers and videographers to ensure content is produced efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all client content.

**Content Optimization and Analysis**:

- Optimize content for search engines (SEO) and user experience (UX).
- Track and analyze content performance, using data to inform future content strategies and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest content marketing trends and best practices.

**Client Collaboration and Communication**:

- Present content strategies and recommendations to clients in a clear and persuasive manner.
- Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on all things content.
- Collaborate with client marketing teams to ensure content is integrated seamlessly into their overall marketing efforts.

**Who You Will Be**:
**To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrable previous relevant experiences and skills with the following**:
**Key Qualifications**
- A diploma or equivalent certification in marketing, communications, digital, media or related studies
- 3+ years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, or a similar role, preferably in an agency setting.
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful content strategies that drive results.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and analytics platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

**Bonus Qualifications**
- Experience with social media marketing and strategy.
- Familiarity with design principles and visual storytelling.
- Knowledge of paid media and content distribution strategies.
