**Description**

**Project Background and Objectives**

IFC has embarked on an ambitious new growth strategy (IFC 3.0) to create, deepen, and expand markets and to imagine, design and implement investment projects especially in Low Income Countries and Fragile and Conflict affected Situations. It requires understanding the regional and local market environments as well as sector
- and firm-specific challenges which may include regulatory bottlenecks that prevent the flow of private capital into productive investment and addressing these challenges through WBG engagement at the country and sector level. Upstream & Advisory Teams implement this strategy in close cooperation with colleagues from IFC and the wider WBG.

**Duties and Accountabilities**
- Support business development, pipeline management and transaction execution.
- Provide research and analysis on relevant sectors, markets, and companies, including market mapping, comparator analysis, and sector and company financial projections/models; analyses are expected to include opportunities for decarbonization and digitalization where possible.
- Extract data from internal and external databases, manipulate and present data for various audiences and update/maintain information in relevant databases.
- Review, screen, and prepare relevant documents and reports.
- Draw up materials for external presentation to (potential) clients and IFC partners and prepare documentation for IFC internal processes.

**Selection Criteria**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering, or another related field;
- Strong written and verbal communications skills in English are required. Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese strongly preferred;
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial institutions, consulting, or companies active in manufacturing, health, education,, agribusiness, real estate, or tourism;
- Experience with project and/or program development, executing against implementation plans, and managing stakeholders;
- Experience in monitoring and reporting on a portfolio of projects, programs, and/or initiatives;
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to work on several assignments simultaneously is required;
- Outstanding and demonstrated history of analytical, creative problem solving and critical thinking skills is required;
