- ACOUNTABILITIES- An overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development;- Provide timely and strategic tax advice;- Be capable of writing/reviewing Level 2 Taxes Memos regarding complex discussions with external advisors;- Monitoring and compliance of tax benefits related to State VAT and Excise tax (eg.. DRAWBACK);- Execute tax accounting processes timely and effectively, ensuring operational discipline and strict adherence to internal accounting guidelines and controls as well as observing Brazilian local requirements;- Prepare the tax calculation and the analysis of level two taxes (State VAT, Excise tax, Withholding taxes, etc), ensuring the quality of information in accordance with applicable law;- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all level two statutory tax returns and payments (DCTF, DIRF/EFD-REINF, PER / DCOMP, SPED, DIEF etc);- Support with assessment notices, tax administrative and judicial proceedings (mainly for the level two taxes);- Support on the preparation of the local financial statements;- Provide assistance with internal and external audits / internal clients / projects;- Support in the implementation of global standardized financial systems, governance and compliance;- Support controlling the Actual/Budget/Forecast and contracts within service providers;- Knowledge of Nota Fiscal (Brazilian Invoice) issuance and its impacts in accordance with the Brazilian legislation for Tax;- Support on the compliance of Federal, State and Municipal clearance certificates;- Meet deadlines related to audits, requests and reports for other areas.

QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Law;- Minimum four years’ experience in a tax compliance and advisory team;- BIG4 background is an asset;- Demonstrated understanding of Brazilian tax legislation, level two tax compliance as well as tax litigation;- Understands of financial accounting concepts & processes;- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;- Expertise with ERP systems preferably SAP is a plus;- Expertise with tax systems (e.g. Mastersaf/TaxOne) as well government tax systems.

LANGUAGES- Advanced level or above in English
