**PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES**

You will directly report to the Head of PE Cross Architecture. You will be responsible for executive communications, architecture alignment and coordination activities to drive SAP’s technology strategy.

With your deep technical expertise and thought leadership you help shape innovative and distributed business processes in the Intelligent Enterprise, as well as existing and upcoming SAP solutions, such as the Industry Cloud. You understand technology implications and support the evolution of SAP’s NorthStar Architecture for a homogenous usage experience across all products along the main business processes of SAP’s customers. In alignment with other units at SAP, customers, and partners, you drive decisions to implement SAP’s product and architecture strategy.

In addition, you are a hands-on person with an inspiring can-do mentality focusing on outcomes and a strong delivery attitude. You are an empathetic and solution-oriented person, keeping the diverse developer communities of SAP Product Engineering and our customers and partners in focus.

**EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS**
- BA/MA/Diploma in a technical field of study.
- Experienced architect with cross-domain, cross-functional or cross-industry expertise with demonstrated knowledge and skills that are both broad and deep.
- Good understanding of SAP relevant development processes and lifecycle, and how to establish a fast feedback and delivery cycle between customers and SAP.
- Demonstrated ability to share and communicate ideas to executive staff, technical resources, and other key constituents in clear, concise language.
- Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with software languages at expert levels required (e.g., Java,.NET, node.js, Go, Python, ABAP) and strong skills in modern cloud technologies (Messaging, SQL,NoSQL,...), cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCO,...), as well as related Open Source Software (Spark, Flink, Cassandra,...)
- Experience professional work with software Development and Architecture
- Fluent in English language.
