Team Overview and Job responsibilities

We are looking for a Legal Specialist (senior counsel) to join our team.

Based in Sorocaba/SP, Brazil, reporting to LATAM Legal Contract Manager, you will be responsible for assisting Sales and Procurement teams with complex discussions with both external and internal clients or suppliers across LATAM Region, in accordance with established policies, guidelines, strategies, and legislation. Besides, you will be responsible for supervising corporate aspects of the countries where Prysmian does business. You will focus on the following activities:

- Drafting, reviewing, and discussing contracts with PRYSMIAN Group LATAM entities, assisting Sales and Procurement teams with the negotiation needed to meet Group's internal policies and strategies;
- Assisting Sales/Operational teams whenever the execution of a contract demands so (defaults, charging of penalties, settlements, etc.);
- Advise internal clients with the suitable legal standpoints for projects to be implemented;
- Training of Sales and Procurement teams regarding Group Contract Rules;
- Reviewing of legal checklists prepared by Sales teams in order to check compliance with Group Contract Rules;
- Drafting and reviewing of corporate documents and powers-of-attorney;

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a professional with the following skills and motivations:

- Graduated in Law;
- Advanced English and/or Spanish to be considered as an advantage;
- Good communication skills (business speaking rather than legal one);
- Have initiative to improve and mitigate risks, based on the realistic scenarios pointed out by business teams;
- Be focused on solving problems;
- Excellent interpersonal relationship / Teamwork attitude;
- Hands-on attitude;
- Microsoft Office Pack
