Job Description**
Scope of position**:**
The Regional Pricing works to develop business opportunities by performing daily tasks with pricing, working with the Sales team to develop new business opportunities, and working with the local management team to achieve company goals and objectives for the Project Cargo group. Expeditors Project Cargo business consists of both heavy lift, over dimensional cargo and EPC opportunities.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
**1. **Bid Support**

a. Be the main point of contact for pricing on industrial tender bids in the region.

b. Liaise with local teams for compiling of rates for standard, open top, flatrack containers, LCL, breakbulk, trucking, packing, warehousing and air.

c. Compile rates within the internal industrial tender bid template for archiving.

d. Compile and populate the individual bid documents, as required and instructed by the bid owner.
**2. **Monitoring and Reporting**

a. Utilize the workboard and other elements to analyze pricing trends, compile and distribute the findings on a quarterly basis to the Global Pricing Manager.

b. Manage Carrier relationships within the region for Project Cargo.

c. Review/log carrier evaluations in CRM.
**3. **Regional Pricing**

a. Engage with customers directly, as needed to discuss quote opportunities and develop relationships.

b. Point of contact regarding ocean chartering pricing with steamship lines. This is to be done in conjunction with Regional Operations Managers.

c. Maintain their region’s contacts within the global contact list.

d. Develop and maintain regional infrastructure details; examples are port and terminal capabilities, availability of equipment, etc. Updates are sent to Global Pricing Manager on a quarterly basis for archiving purposes.

e. Develop a Project Cargo tariff within GEO to standardize repetitive services, such as surveys, port handling, documentation, customs etc.

f. Provide support to Project Cargo personnel for guidance on pricing (contacts, target rates, profit margins, routing) as needed.

g. Support Project Cargo field members with pricing overflow, as required.

h. Master quoting tools and provide training on their usage to all Project Cargo personnel in your GEO region, as required. Training refreshers for Project Cargo staff within the GEO to be done every 6 months, or as needed.

i. Help in development of the next generation of pricing tools.
**4. **Objectives/Training requirements**

a. Attend regular Expeditors training programs - both external and internal (minimum 52 hours per year required). You are also encouraged to conduct trainings in your respective locations.

b. Provide training/guidance to the Expeditors network on handling OOG cargo for Ro/Ro, flatracks and open tops.

c. Attend Workshops, Conferences and group meetings as required.

Qualifications**
Requirements**:

- 3+ years Pricing background + industry knowledge
- 2+ years of Operational background
- English : Fluent ( verbal and written ) mandatory
- Spanish and/or Portuguese: Desired
- Proficiency in Negotiation Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Detailed orientated with exceptional organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Outstanding aptitude for creative problem solving
- Excellent ability to handle a high dynamic environment
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
