Summary

Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts within the Microsoft Defender environment and respond to potential security incidents.
- Configure and manage Microsoft Defender policies and settings to ensure optimal security posture.
- Implement and maintain security best practices and standards for Microsoft Defender and related technologies.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure secure integration and operation of all IT systems.
- Investigate and remediate security vulnerabilities and incidents promptly.
- Assist in the development and implementation of incident response plans and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance on security matters to business units and stakeholders.
- Continuously enhance knowledge of emerging security threats, trends and technologies.

Required Qualifications

**Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT security, preferably with hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender.

Skills and Abilities:

- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with other Microsoft security products and cloud services is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Characteristics:

- Certified in Microsoft security technologies, such as Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with an eagerness to learn and grow within the role.
