Position Summary

Assists the Lift Maintenance Senior Manager (LMSM) in providing leadership, administration, coordination, and guidance for the Lift Maintenance and Lift Maintenance Electrical departments to align with company goals and objectives. Serves as an ambassador of Mt. Bachelor as part of the management team. Assists the LMSM in overseeing the preventative and daily operative maintenance of all lifts, tow ropes, and carpets. Helps LMSM identify and oversee all short-term and long-term projects. Assists in leading the team of lift mechanics and works closely with the management of the Mountain Operations team to ensure a seamless operation. Covers all LMSM duties in their absence.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities- Daily administration and maintenance on all Mt Bachelor ski lifts. Assure that all maintenance required by manufacturers, regulatory agencies, insurance carriers, or as deemed necessary by personal experience is completed and documented promptly.- Daily administration, supervision, and motivation of Lift Maintenance staff. Communicate to staff all pertinent company policies, philosophies, and all appropriate information from upper management.- Helps recruit, hire, train, and motivate a staff of sufficient size and expertise to satisfy the needs of Lift Maintenance, Lift Electronics, and Lift Construction. Assist in Lift Operations training.- Ensure Lift Maintenance staff complies with company uniform and appearance standards, as well as all other company policies.- In cooperation with the LMSM, formulate yearly Lift Maintenance budget proposals for staff and equipment as necessary. Control actual expenditures within the approved budget. Assist in capital budgets as required.- Help develop effective and innovative departmental operations, particularly in the areas of scheduling, record keeping, documentation, and training. Maintain proficiency in Lift and Electrical maintenance skills and awareness of the latest developments in methodology or technology relating to aerial tramways.- Assist in communication with all outside regulatory agencies that pertain to Lift Maintenance and operations. Conduct all lift inspections as necessary.- Serves as part of a team that supervises all lift construction and major modifications.- Promote proper maintenance, care, and safe use of all lift machinery, buildings, tools, and vehicles. Responsible for the security of these items.- Formulate, edit, and initiate maintenance procedures to ensure all necessary information is available to maintenance personnel for the proper completion of maintenance.- Long-range planning in areas of responsibility.
