Junior Operations Assistant

We are working with Enhanced Rock Weathering in tropical agriculture, currently with focus on Brazil. **Our Vision is to remove gigatons (that's billions of tons) of CO2 from the atmosphere in a permanent, scalable and safe way.**

**Our Mission is to enable farmers in the tropics to replace synthetic fertilisers, pesticides and limestone with (silicate) rock powder from local mines.**

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DESIRED OUTCOMES**:
Tasks will include assisting in the set-up, operation, maintenance and the overseeing of experiments and projects in the farm context. You will be working under the supervision of members of the science team, and you will be required to work under their supervision and guidance. Day to day tasks may include the construction of pot experiments, thorough documentation of research activities, the taking of samples as well as the maintenance of research equipment.

**KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:

- A general **enthusiasm** for environmental activism, agriculture and soil
- Working in a **dedicated** and precise way and bringing competence in completing manual tasks
- An ability to work well in a **team environment **and contribute constructively
- Execute tasks within the overall ops and science strategy in accordance with company OKRs
- Create **reports **and communicate challenges and achievements to the team
- Observant, polite and **open to learn**
- Ready to face a sometimes fast changing, adaptable work environment
- A scientific background in **agronomy** or comparable is a **plus**
- ** English** to communicate with our international team is a **plus**
- The role is based in **Piracicaba (Sao Paulo)** and fluent/native **Portuguese** is required
