What you'll do:
The team is responsible for executing / implementing signed agreements for our customers and ensure sustainment of those services through teh lifecyle of the service. Critical functions such as project management, coordination, build-up and test as well as field resources to attend customer sites are handled through this team. This role is to ensure that all those teams are working efficiently and delivering for the customer base while also engaging with many other critical teams like the customer support center and engineering. The operations team and specifically this role is the center of all actions so you will get exposure to all aspects of the business from custoemr engagement, project execution and service sustainment. Strong people skills to ensure teamwork, relentless execution against cusotmer satisfaction is critical as this is where customer satisfaction is driven as well as the analytical skills required for overseeeing the budgets.
Ensuring the operational teams are executing efficiently to deliver for our customers services, being the face for operations in Brazil when customers have escalations or need to engage with monthly reporting, support sales in bids / proposals to ensure we are signing something which covers our cost and that we can successfully execute on.
This role will require engagement wiht all departments from sales, engineering, finance etc. As a key leader in the operational team it is critical that you will have engagement with all teams to ensure interactions are going well, finding ways to streamline the engagements and help support in any challenges between teams with the main goal in mind of servicing our customer.
The day-to-day:
- Specific responsibility for Field Ops team to ensure dispatch of technicians and equipment is done efficiently and effectively to meet customer requirements.
- Field Ops Manager must pro-actively collect accurate data about his/her team and use this data to develop and implement strategies to optimize coverage, quality and utilization.
- Provide strategic guidance to the business based on KPIs / Metrics to maximize efficiencies and quality of the operational team.
- Ensure Field Ops team is adequately:
- Trained and developed to ensure customer and stakeholder expectations are exceeded.
- Sized and resourced to ensure customer / stakeholder expectations are met whilst ensuring employee retention and engagement.
- Responsible for developing and delivering against operational budget. Notwithstanding any of the above, successful performance will include:
- Diligently and strategically reviewing company spend to optimize cost base.
- Discharging his/her cost approval responsibilities with a focus on company policy, compliance and restraint.
- Manage day-to-day operations with the goal of operational excellence while ensuring that all company values are realized in the area.
- Implement and maintain processes and procedures associated with operations functions in the area; ensure area aligns with global standards. As a Senior member of the Field Ops function, the Area Field Ops Manager will be expected to pro-actively contribute to the development of these processes and procedures.
- Oversee work performed by the Area Revenue Super user and ensure accurate billing of jobs.
- Work closely with the Area Warehouse, Inventory and Logistics functions to monitor and ensure inventory and asset control.- Provide support as necessary to the Area Finance Manager to meet local Statutory Administration requirements.
- Work closely with Sales and Sales Engineering Departments to ensure deliverability in the sales and solution phase.
- Assist the Sales department as requested and is reasonable in the pre-sales stage.
What you'll need:
- University degree in relevant business or technical field (preferred).
- Minimum of five (5) years management experience in operational and/or similar function.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in remote communications preferred.
- Experience with operations in the area preferred.
- Background in the oil & gas industry preferred.
- Fluent in English.
- Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task under these conditions.
- Must have the ability to organize and lead teams in disparate geographies.
