Controller/senior Accountant

**_ Role description:_**

**_ Key tasks & responsibilities_**_:_
- _Manage financial interactions with suppliers and customers, credit analysis, negotiations, and payments._
- _Coordinate and optimize internal/external accounting and finance functions, reconciliations and internal controls._
- _Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS, close monthly and year-end._
- _FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management; monitor DSO and collections._
- _Maintain internal controls, compliance policies, and support external audits, interface with auditors and consultants._
- _Manage local and international tax compliance; tax planning, SPED, ECD/ECF, SPED Contábil._
- _Management reports to senior leadership._
- _Ensure governance compliance: SOX (where applicable) and risk controls._

**_Qualifications & Competencies:_**
- To be successful in this role you will have:_
- _Bachelor’s degree preferably in accounting (Economics, Business Administration, or Compliance also considered)._
- _MBA or similar._
- _Prior experience in global footprint companies._
- _Fluent communication in English to operate in a global environment._
- _Team player._
- _Strong knowledge of IFRS (including IFRS for SMEs), GAAP, and financial disclosure standards (ITG 2000/ITG 2001/ITGC)._
- _Thorough understanding of CPCs (Comitê de Pronunciamento Contábil), focusing on assets, financial instruments, etc._
- _Knowledge of Chart of Accounts, Brazilian corporate legislation, and good compliance practices._
- _Familiarity with local tax regimes (e.g., lucro real, lucro presumido) and their accounting impact; calculation of direct (IRPJ, CSLL) and indirect taxes (PIS/COFINS, ICMS, ISS, IPI, ITR) by regime; SPED Fiscal, SPED Contábil, ECD/ECF, and deadlines._
- _Transfer pricing and tax incentives where applicable._
- _Experience with financial reporting/ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle Hyperion, SAP Analytics, Planful, NetSuite); Navision/Business Central preferred._
- _Data analytics and BI skills (advanced Excel; Power BI, Tableau)._
- _Proficiency with core IT tools (MS Office) and ERP familiarity;_
- _Familiarity with Group Financial Reporting tools (OCRA, Hyperion, AARO or similar) is a plus._
- _Knowledge of local accounting standards and regulations._
