**GWM Independent Risk Officer - Credit Officer/Senior Credit Officer for Latin America ex. Mexico**

GWM Risk Management provides independent challenge and oversight to the portfolio and ensures that credit decision making remains within the defined risk appetite.

**Responsibilities**:

- The position will report to the GWM Independent Risk Manager for the Latin America ex. Mexico region and will work alongside Private Bankers, IF Transactors and IF Portfolio Managers.
- Responsibilities include reviewing / approving a variety of wholesale lending and counterparty credit transactions proposed by the IF team - working together to ensure we lend to appropriate, target-market clients and that the loans are structured correctly in order to mitigate risks to Citi's balance sheet, while also meeting the client's needs.
- In addition, the position will be assigned a portfolio of clients for which they will serve as the Risk Credit Officer/Senior Credit Officer approver for all annual and interim reviews, therefore a SCO designation is preferred.

**Qualifications**:

- Senior Credit Officer ("SCO") Initial or be well in the process of obtaining such delegation (having the prerequisites for ACE).
- 10+ years of experience in credit risk management or equivalent training. GWM, ICG or CCB credit risk background a strong preference.
- Highly desirable to have experience lending to Ultra High Net Worth clients with lending product knowledge in marketable securities and capital markets.
- Experience in the financial services industry preferred
- Demonstrated accountability for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/geographic regions
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Proven negotiation skills often used at a senior level
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with urgency
- Ability to obtain support and buy-in across a wide range of internal and external audiences
- Must be able to stay ahead in a constantly changing environment. Such changes include market activity, business direction and priorities, personnel, regulations, and accounting rules and standards in corporate governance.
- Language: Fluent English (required), Fluent Spanish or Portuguese (required)
**Education**:

- Bachelor's degree/University degree (finance, accounting or business preferred) or equivalent experience
- Master's degree/MBA preferred
