Social Media Associate

AcadArena, the home of campus gaming across Southeast Asia, is expanding its activities to Brazil. We're building the place where students **play, connect and learn**.

Started in 2019 as a volunteer events gig, we've grown into a venture-backed 30-plus-person team creating communities, technologies and experiences that allow hundreds of thousands of students to learn about and explore the world of gaming and the metaverse.

As we continue to scale, we're looking forward to grow our awesome and diverse team of dreamers and creators to keep **building what we wish we had as students**.

**What the Role Is About**:
Our Marketing drives the brunt of AcadArena's front-facing, promotional campaigns. From making sure our varsity leagues get the mainstream attention they should to crafting moving initiatives that showcase our scholars' stories, the Marketing team are the minds behind our public presence.

This is an associate, contractor role, meant for fresh grads looking to get their start in the industry. This a great opportunity if you're passionate about social media, PR and content planning.

**Responsibilities**:

- Helping manage AcadArena's social media and digital channels, namely Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tiktok. This includes:

- Crafting post ideas and captions, working alongside Studios team to see them to fruition.
- Monitoring channel metrics on the regular.
- Analyzing campaign performance and crafting post-execution reports.
- Assisting project managers in crafting campaign ideas for their respective products, such as the Alliance Cup, Scholarships and Aid, Community events and more.
- Be game to appear in or host the odd content piece or two

**Qualifications**:

- ** Early-Stage Marketing.** 1-2+ years experience in marketing/social media with a passion for gaming, pop culture and the vibrant scene around it. Experience as creative for your campus club is a plus.
- ** Basic Design Knowledge. You can make quick adjustments on images and videos before posting it.**
- ** Glam Gram**. Has an eye for taking portraits and bringing out the style in shots.
- ** TikTokerist.** Knows the latest trend and can shoot a TikTok vid in a breath.
- ** Memer.** Has an awesome sense of humor. Who doesn't wanna get paid to meme?
- ** Curiously Inquisitive**. You like to dig deep into why things are the way they are and ask questions on how they can be better.
- ** Tools of the Trade.** Proficient in using in all the channels we have, as well as generally literate in core work tools like Notion and Google Sheets.
- ** Effective Team Player.** Has a proven track record in delivering projects while working with a team. School and club projects absolutely count
- ** Values-Driven & Youth Focused.** You strongly believe in youth empowerment and have a good grasp of their needs and struggles.
- ** Strong Communicator.** Proficient writing, communication and presentation skills in Portuguese. Intermediate English.
- ** Gaming & Tech-savvy.** Strong interest in video games and esports. Fully immersed in a digital lifestyle.

**Nice To Haves**:

- Strong interest in video games and esports.
- Past Experience with student organizations.
- Familiar with Web3 and Metaverse concepts, like Play-to-Earn games and Crypto Wallets
- Familiar with regional culture and trends in Brazil and SEA.
