**Senior Data DevOps**

**What you’ll do**

Your mission as a Senior Data DevOps will be a problem solver, with core activities being: On-Call and Daily support. Assist with daily support using established runbooks and CLI. Development and troubleshooting of Kubernetes/Helm/Argo/Terraform deployments for team and 3rd party software. Some shell scripting. Getting data via REST APIs and some data wrangling. Be able to script automation for proving out PoC work and validating success. Exploratory software testing which can take many forms from UI to API capabilities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the team with multiple projects and PoC work.
- Get data from REST APIs and build automation based on the results.
- Working in the terminal and executing CLI commands for daily support operations.
- Build out deployment pipelines for team and troubleshoot issues using GitHub pipelines, Helm, Argo, and Terraform.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues.
- Deploy components using Kubernetes Custom Resources and Operators from 3rd party vendors.
- This includes establishing data connections, exposing services in a secure way, and managing secrets.
- Comfortable deploying and testing multiple pieces of software to Kubernetes for Proof-of-Concept efforts.
- Work with Kafka for operational support.
- Read and write shell scripts.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree
- Language Level: Advanced English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Kubernetes, Helm, and Argo expertise regarding building and troubleshooting deployments required
- Terraform expertise.
- You will be expected to read and navigate code in multiple languages
- Proficient with containers
- Ability to participate in and contribute to code management in GitHub including actively collaborating in peer-reviews, feature branches, and resolving conflicts and commits.
- Strong sense of responsibility with a bias towards action.
- Comfortable self-directing and prioritizing your own work.
- Shell scripting and CLI
- Microservices experience a plus
- Background with at least one cloud provider (Azure preferred).

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Some familiarity with Kafka or other messaging system background is a plus.
- New Relic or Prometheus/Grafana knowledge is a plus.
- Azure Event Hubs a bonus.
