**About Lubrizol**
**Summary**
The Trade Compliance Associate position is accountable for maintaining our right to operate globally by ensuring compliance with trade regulations and deploying trade programs that maintain or improve our competitive advantage. This role works closely with other team members and regional contacts in Information Technology and Supply Chain.
**Essential Job Functions**
- Assisting in the annual free trade campaign activities including soliciting, auditing, and processing long term vendor declarations (LTVDs)
- Collect and prepare reports needed for duty payment, month end closing, and other periodic reporting and populate tracking documents where needed.
- Review and processing invoices for payment of duties, broker fees, and other trade related payments.
- Manage administrative tasks related to existing and new customs procedures (duty drawback, bonded warehouses, duty suspension, Intrastat reporting, etc.)
- Follow existing procedures to release order holds in SAP for low complexity import or export controls.
- Review customers and vendors flagged for a potential denied party screening hits and release or escalate as necessary.
- Evaluate the use and sourcing of conflict minerals. Provide certification letters to customers as requested.
**Experience and Skills**
- Experience using SAP Global Trade Services (GTS)
- Basic understanding of import and export processes and critical data elements
- Willingness and ability to learn audit processes, systems used, and compliance requirements.
- Broad knowledge of global free trade regulations
- Moderate knowledge of excel and basic understanding of ERP systems including basic knowledge of system controls and export regulations.
- Strong organizations skills, attention to detail and time management
- Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics/Supply Chain, or other related fields or equivalent experience
- Fluent in english
