Sales Director

This Sales Director will be focused on Teradata’s major finance accounts in Brazil. This position will be responsible for the cloud strategy, leveraging the success of one of our major accounts move to cloud strategy. In accordance with the company’s strategy, he will coordinate new logo pursuit in financial services market.

Keys Areas of Responsibility

Develops and maintains strategy for overall engagement with client

Sets resourcing and utilizes resources on the account team to drive sales

Builds and manages relationships with high-ranking customer decision makers

Serves as an escalation point for high priority client issues

Coordinates team engagement with client, mapping each resource to most valuable opportunities

Understands client’s key business initiatives, key problems, and competitive environment and recognizes how Teradata solutions could be applied

Regularly runs meetings with account team to discuss account strategy and future sales opportunities

Coaches and develops Account Executives and Solution Architects

Lead and coach a team to develop Points of View that are relevant for multiple business and technical buyers.

Skills and Experience

Sales experience in solving business problems in complex enterprise customers, through analytics, consulting services and modern technologies

In-depth knowledge of customer industry and business priorities

Team management experience

Customer relationship management experience, particularly for Senior Executives and C-Level contacts

Background in successfully competing in a highly coveted environment again multiple different companies.

Innovative and creative capabilities to provide industry leading solution strategies

Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

Demonstrated capabilities in cloud/business value selling.

Proven track record in running a complex business development account.

Highly skilled in organizational politics, value proposition development, solution selling, focusing on the customer, sales ability / persuasiveness, and business needs analysis.

Experience managing cross functional teams.

Exceptional skills in communicating, establishing of strategic direction, influencing others, negotiating skills, operational decision making, problem solving, facilitating and managing meetings.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION & SKILLS

BS, MBA, or MS in business, technical or professional discipline or equivalent work experience.
