Procurement is a key enabler in driving and supporting Johnson & Johnson’s growth. Being a part of the procurement organization, the incumbent in this role will be driving and/or supporting all aspects of spend performance such as reliability, innovation, cost, supply network readiness, and corporate citizenship goals while collaborating with the wider procurement and supply chain community.

The Procurement Manager will support all aspects of strategic & tactical sourcing initiatives for Janssen Supply Chain, including regional deliver and manufacturing warehousing spend, and support some additional x-category stakeholder/supplier activities relating packaging & chemicals spend. This spend is highly sophisticated in nature and requires a close collaboration with partners within the business to implement.

**You will be responsible for**:
**Sourcing, Strategy Creation & Implementation**
- Create and implement sourcing strategies to ensure high quality, on-time delivery, and cost competitiveness, gain alignment from partners, lead cross-functional, category-based negotiation teams, and implement appropriate supplier risk analysis.
- Proactively engage business partners to develop and implement sourcing strategy, in particular with Janssen supply chain and regional teams, to guarantee the best sourcing solution to meet current / future business and operational requirements.
- Develop strategy through Business needs assessment, Market intelligence, understanding of external market trends, supplier evaluations and sourcing choices.
- Develop a supplier regional portfolio strategy to leverage supplier agreements/volumes, optimize use of global vs regional suppliers, increase supply base diversification and reduce complexity.

**Sourcing**:

- Lead cross-functional sourcing events & initiatives, including tenders/RFPs (Request for Proposals), supplier direct negotiations, contract extensions & exits to deliver value creation for Janssen.
- Work in partnership with key partners to assure compliance with effective procurement policies, procedures and standard processes.
- Identify and/or develop the right supplier partners, to ensure service excellence, reliability, compliance and storage capacity to support business requirements.

**Supplier Management**:

- Lead supplier communications, including sourcing event invitations, issue resolution, pricing terms negotiations and contracting.
- Develop and lead supplier partnerships to drive performance delivery, risk mitigation, and value creation via supplier enabled innovation & sustainable carbon reduction.
- Support discussions of supplier performance against contractually defined capabilities, including periodic performance reviews and any remedial activities required.
