We’re looking for a skilled and proactive **IFS Technical Consultant (Oracle Database)** to join our growing team and help us deliver robust solutions for IFS Applications across various environments — from classic on-premise to modern cloud deployments.

Global IFS Technical Consultant (Oracle Database)

Location: Colombo

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle databases to ensure top performance and reliability.
- Supporting IFS implementations (e.g., IFS Cloud or IFS Applications 10) from a database perspective.
- Working alongside our IFS consultants on backups, configurations, upgrades, and deployments.
- Performing tuning, patching, backup and recovery, and database security management.
- Supporting IFS Applications (ideally version 10 or newer) with a mix of technical and functional insight.
- Resolving database-related issues quickly and efficiently while ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Keeping documentation up to date — procedures, configurations, and best practices included.

**Who you are**:

- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or IT.
- You have at least 3-4 years of relevant experience (internships count too).
- You're confident in managing Oracle databases (12c or newer) in both Linux and Windows environments.
- You bring hands-on experience from at least one IFS ERP implementation.
- You're familiar with cloud systems and understand the challenges of maintaining production systems in the cloud.
- You’re proficient with PL/SQL and at least one scripting language (Shell, PowerShell, or Python).
- You understand database architecture and IT service management principles.
- You speak English at a B2 level or higher and communicate clearly and effectively.
- You work independently, proactively solve problems, and always keep the client's needs in mind.
- You're eager to stay current with the latest trends and technologies in your field.
