**About this role**:

- Review, consolidate, and ensure the integrity of agreements, contracts, and other legal documents, safeguarding the company's rights both domestically and internationally.
- Manage and oversee the legal department, providing leadership and guidance to the legal team to support the company's goals and objectives.
- Serve as the main point of contact for relationships with external law firms, nationally and internationally, including evaluating and proposing new hires as necessary.
- Lead and oversee legal matters at the national and international levels, working closely with Rentcars' management team.
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance to the company on business law matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct research and evaluate opportunities and risk factors related to business decisions and operations in the markets where Rentcars operates.
- Execute legal and tax risk management strategies, identifying potential risks and implementing measures to mitigate them.
- Implement and maintain best practices for data protection and privacy requirements, ensuring the company's compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage the internal legal team and external lawyers in relation to consumer, tax, and labor-related legal demands, providing guidance and support as needed.

**A perfect match would have**:

- Bachelor's degree in Law, with an active certification from the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
- Proven track record as a Legal Manager in a business environment or at law firms specialized in business and corporate law.
- Experience in effectively managing national and international contracts, demonstrating a thorough understanding of contract terms, negotiation, and risk assessment.
- Familiarity or experience with e-commerce or internet-based products and services will be highly valued.
- Knowledge of topics related to the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and the **General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).**:

- Availability to work in-person at the Curitiba office is required.
- ** Fluent English is essential, with demonstrated experience in a corporate setting.**:

- Proficiency in Spanish will be considered a plus.
