In the SAP Product Engineering Board area, and as part of the Customer Solution Support & Innovation (CSI), Customer Innovation & Maintenance (CIM) combines value-driven innovation and best-in-class maintenance. Focused on co-innovating with customers, we aim to improve SAP products and integrate innovation into standard/industry solutions, while focusing on long term impact for maintaining customer success. The globally diverse CIM team is responsible for designing, building, running, and maintaining solutions covering the full innovation lifecycle with strong future focus on cloud and hybrid solutions. The strategic transition towards product-oriented projects is key. Within CIM the Engineering Cross Functions (ECF) Team centrally combines relevant attributes of product engineering and project deliveries in one central unit. The team brings together under one umbrella strategic factors, such as Architecture & Technology Office, Security & Compliance, User Experience, Quality Management, User Assistance and Agile Methods. **SUMMARY**

Our UX team consists of designers with a variety of skills and levels of experience, and we are looking for a passionate and open-minded User Experience Design Expert who is eager to support enterprise products in various lines of business and industries.

In this role, you will be joining an interdisciplinary team of designers, product owners, developers, project managers and quality experts who partner with our customers to deliver outstanding software solutions. You’ll be supporting project planning, integration and helping to drive user-centered design activities.

**The **Role & Responsibilities**
- Self-starter to understand, apply, and drive SAP specific design guidelines on products
- Proven ability to collaborate with teams and work independently within a multi-site international atmosphere
- Support & Create UX effort estimations for new projects with a clear scope
- Support, plan, and moderate requirements gathering workshops that includes user requirements analysis, task analysis, information architecture design, interaction design, and usability testing
- Facilitate design sessions with involved teams using Design Thinking and User Centered Design methodologies
- Create low-to-high fidelity designs and prototypes based on the SAP Fiori design system
- Work in close coordination with product owners to deliver expected UX outcomes, verification of designs through reviews, validations, and/or formal usability testing
- Act as a Global Design Reviewer to approve UI designs aligning with the SAP Fiori Design System and UI5 Best practices and consistencies
- Design support and consulting for the development teams by working closely with architects and developers through the product life cycle
- Promote and support a culture of data-driven design
- Maintain an understanding of design/user experience trends and practices and bring them back to the team to enrich learnings by knowledge sharing
- Proactively engage and develop relationships within the larger engineering team to coach and mentor non UX colleagues on key UX concepts and help drive internal UX initiatives
- Act as a mentor to other UX Designers and Junior Designers
- International & domestic travel as needed for workshops and product requirement discussions
**Skills and Competencies**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interaction Design, Product Design, Digital Media Design, Human Computer Interaction.
- Strong skills with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, Mural, Axure
- Strong knowledge of User Centered Design principles.
- Strong knowledge of working within a Design System (SAP Fiori knowledge a plus) & responsive design
- Experience with UX Design governance
- Strong knowledge of user experience research methods, tools & techniques (Personas, User Journey Mapping, etc.)
- B2B experience is highly desirable
- Experience working directly with end users and customers
- Experience in Design Thinking and supporting workshops - also in virtual environments
- Strong knowledge of Mobile UI Design patterns and functions
- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and ability to adhere to them in your deliverables
- Knowledge of Conversational User Experience & AR/VR/MR User Experience
