Our client is currently expanding operations and is seeking a **Payroll Specialist in Brazil** to join the team and contribute to the organization’s success. This role is responsible for managing the payroll process and supporting HR-related administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with local labor regulations and accurate payroll processing for clients.
**Location**: São Paulo, Brazil
**Level**: Mid-Level/Senior
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Accurately prepare and process payroll in compliance with local labor and tax laws
- Prepare and manage employment records, contracts, and addendums
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all documentation is properly handled
- Manage benefits, including health insurance, life insurance, meal/food vouchers, and more
- Maintain employee databases and ensure accurate timesheet records
- Handle leave and absence management
- Prepare and submit mandatory labor obligations and payroll-related reports (DCTFWEB, EmpregadorWEB, DIRF, etc.)
- Process vacation pay, 13th salary, and terminations
- Monitor and manage occupational health scheduling
- Submit events to eSocial and manage related compliance
- Provide payroll-related support to clients and resolve discrepancies or inquiries
- Prepare audit dashboards and support annual labor audits
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and collective bargaining agreements
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Completed or ongoing university degree in Accounting or related areas
- Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll and HR processes
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian labor laws and payroll legislation
- Experience with payroll calculation and eSocial
- Experience in benefits administration
- Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Advanced level of English
**Desired Qualifications**:
- Experience in recruitment, HR development, labor compliance, or finance/accounting
- Experience in multinational companies
- Intermediate level of Spanish
- Experience leading teams
