**Job Overview and Responsibilities**:
This position is within the Analytical Laboratories (ANA Labs - R&I Corp) in the Research and Innovation Center located in Paulinia, Brazil. The Research Assistant will be part of a team highly trained and dedicated in developing, executing and interpreting physico-chemical and materials analysis.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Analytical support for Innovation and Operational excellence projects, investigation of customer complaints. Evaluation of data and propose solutions to internal/external customers using the capabilities available in ANA Labs;
- Perform tests using thermal analysis (TGA, DSC), rheometer, granulometry, zeta potential, spectroscopy and chromatography in order to correlate performance of materials and formulation with physical-chemical properties.
- Ensure the full operation of the instruments in the ANA Labs and housekeeping.
- Development and update of new analytical methodologies to support the GBUs needs and R&I Corporate projects.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety and ensure all daily works meet HSE requirements.
- Quality assurance promoter.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor in Chemistry, Materials or Chemistry Engineering;
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in the field of analytics, materials characterization and physico-chemistry.
- MSc. in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry, Organic, Physico-chemistry - finished or in course) will be a plus.

**Skills**:

- Experience in analysis using the following techniques: thermal analysis (TGA, DSC), rheology, granulometry, zeta potential, spectroscopy and chromatography.
- Experience in diagnostic and troubleshooting of analytical equipment;
- High level of customer orientation, analytical skills, communication, creativity and teamwork;
- Technical report writing skills;
- Open mind to learn different techniques.
- High level of organization and housekeeping.

Portuguese - fluent

English - Advanced
