OSM Thome is currently seeking a 2nd Officer (2/O) to join our team on board the Skandi Africa in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. The Skandi Africa is a vessel of
- Not Applicable (N/A) type.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Chief Officer in the safe and efficient operation of the vessel
- Maintain navigational equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Supervise deck crew during mooring and unmooring operations
- Conduct regular safety drills and ensure crew members are familiar with emergency procedures
- Monitor and report on vessel's position, weather conditions, and navigational hazards
- Maintain accurate navigational charts and publications

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience as a 2nd Officer (2/O)
- Second mate
- STCW II/2
- HUET
- CAEBs
- DP Full
- Valid STCW certification
- Proficient in the use of navigational equipment and electronic chart display systems
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
- Good knowledge of international maritime regulations and safety procedures
- Fluent in English language, both written and spoken
