Are you ready to take on complex tax challenges at a global leader in technology, commerce, and innovation? We are seeking an experienced Tax Planning Specialist to support strategic tax initiatives and provide expert technical analysis on complex tax matters for our Brazilian operations. This role will report to the Senior Tax Planning Manager and will be responsible for executing sophisticated tax planning strategies while ensuring full compliance with Brazilian tax regulations.
Key job responsibilities
Key job responsibilities:
- Execute complex tax planning analyses and provide technical recommendations
- Perform detailed research on tax legislation and develop technical positions
- Conduct thorough analysis indirect taxes, including ICMS, PIS/COFINS and ISS
- Analyze tax implications of business transactions and provide detailed technical reports
- Support tax controversy matters with technical analysis and documentation
- Contribute to tax risk assessments and mitigation strategies
- Prepare complex tax calculations and review tax declarations
- Mentor junior tax analysts and provide technical guidance
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of maintaining and operating transaction tax calculation software (e.g. Vertex) experience
