This new role is part of ICG Risk and Control team supporting the ICG Latam Risk and Control Lead in the oversight of the ICG Risk and Control portfolio within the Latam region. The role integrates in-depth specialty knowledge of risk and control and operational/ compliance risk practices with a solid understanding of industry standards and requirements. The incumbent will work with global ICG Risk and Control colleagues to ensure full consideration of the Latam business in the design and roll out of enhanced risk and control frameworks and will work with both the regional ICG businesses as well as the regional and in-country Risk & Control Teams to ensure such frameworks are fully embedded in the region. In addition, this role will work with Independent Risk, Control Functions and Internal Audit to enhance local control standards and support local management in their oversight of the Businesses.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with in-business control resources to co-ordinate key regulatory priorities and control remediations across the ICG business in Latam
- Provide support to the Latam and global Risk & Control Management to ensure a robust assessment of the ICG control environment is provided to Latam Management to facilitate effective oversight for control risk
- Support and implement best practice control frameworks across key ICG businesses and jurisdictions
- Co-ordinate and support the roll out of enhanced governance and risk and control frameworks across the region and at Legal Entities (as part of the global initiative)
- Work with control partners and Internal Audit to facilitate control remediation efforts and the audit coverage of the business in Latam
- Represent the Latam ICG franchise in forums to ensure local nuances are incorporated into global control design considerations

**Qualifications & skills**:

- Experience in Risk and Control portfolio and/ or compliance frameworks with First Line or Second Line experience
- Detailed expertise of Investment Banking business activities and associated key regulations.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and persuasive with the judgement and authority to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to drive change to business practices by working effectively across a global organization.
- Self-starting with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Client-focused and open to different ideas/viewpoints
- Project management and change capabilities
- Capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with follow-up and problem solving capability
