Data Protection Officer

**This is a remote position, you can be located anywhere in Brazil or Mexico.
As a Data Protection Officer at Rock Content, you will be able to enforce data compliance company-wide and maintain ongoing security audits. This role is a key driver to act as the primary point of contact within the organization for members of staff, regulators, and any relevant public bodies on issues related to data protection

**Your Impact**:

- Ensure the company’s policy is in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and codes of practice
- Ensure the company’s policy is in accordance with AICPA SOC2 and LGDP and/or LGPD in Brazil.
- Evaluate the existing data protection framework and identify areas of non or partial compliance and rectify any issues
- Create training plans and provide data protection advice and support for members of staff
- Work with internal team to complete vendor security and privacy assessments
- Implement measures and a privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with the GDPR, including developing templates for data collection, assisting with data mapping, and vendor management reviews
- Promote a culture of data protection compliance across all units of the organization

**What we're looking for**:

- Graduation in Data Science, IT, or similar fields
- Fluent/Advanced English
- ** **Minimum of three years experience working in data protection compliance or a related field
- Expertise in European data protection laws and practices including an in-depth understanding of the GDPRExperience within a legal, audit and/or risk function department
- Strong project management skillsAbility to work well under pressure and manage sensitive and confidential information
- Experience in developing policy and compliance training
- Technical background working in an IT position is a plus (developer, security, support, or infrastructure)
