The company combines local markets expertise with payment technology enabling global merchants to successfully expand their business into high growth, emerging markets while eliminating the many operational complexities of managing cross-border payments. Our strategy has created a differentiated model in the payments landscape.
Our team is growing and we are looking for a Fraud Analyst to be based in Brazil. As a Fraud Analyst you will be leading initiatives to detect and minimize the risk of fraud, while providing an exceptional merchant experience.
**Primary Responsabilities**:
- Analyze fraud patterns and develop new fraud detection rules to reduce exposure to new fraud trends and keep chargeback rates at acceptable thresholds.
- Build SQL queries for fraud monitoring.
- Monitor credit card transactions and fraud rates, taking necessary actions to keep them within acceptable thresholds.
- Develop and maintain fraud knowledge documentation for internal and external use.
- Lead initiatives to continuously improve transaction approval rates, while maintaining acceptable fraud loss rates and merchant satisfaction.
- Identify root causes of problems related to fraud prevention and take ownership to have the team work collaboratively towards solutions.
- Provide support to other departments on fraud related matters.
**Experience And Qualifications**:
- Proficient with SQL.
- Good understanding of fraud metrics and patterns.
- Knowledge of back-end systems supporting payment transactions, fraud detection tools and operational procedures.
- Proficiency in English is a must (at least B2 level). Proficiency in Spanish is a nice to have.
- Creative problem solving and critical thinking skills with a self-starter attitude.
- Working hours from 09:00 to 18:00h from Monday to Friday.
