**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES** The Head of Global Banking Operations will be responsible for - Managing a large operational function (supporting Cash, Payments, Trade, Loans), leading change-the-bank projects and overseeing the budget and planning. - Serves as analytical and/or procedural expert, representing an operations unit or team on cross functional processes or project deliverables, influencing the way we execute; - Ensures the definition and implementation of systems that are aligned with business strategy and goals; - Defines problems and resolves escalated issues and/or offers advanced solutions and streamline operational processes; - Ensures integrity of processes, operations and end results, implementing and managing a successful risk/control environment; - Supports and partners with the business to facilitate a growing and expanding diversified range of products, client base/operational offering; - Acts as key point of contact for the front to back Operations groups across internal and external stakeholders. **REQUIREMENTS** - Fluency in English and Portuguese are required and another language is a plus; - Bachelor degree - Experience in the financial services sector (in Global Banking related role). - Strong knowledge on financial industry and products; - Strong risk management and control mind-set; - Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented; - Ability to establish and build trust with professionals throughout the business as a leader; - Strong analytical skills, ability to gain an in depth understand of complex processes and systems; - Strong interpersonal and communication skills as evidenced by the ability to work effectively with representatives of a diverse range of departments (locally and abroad); - Ability to prioritize and work under pressure; - Team player willing to accept challenges large and small and meet them under time pressure; - Adaptable, able to multi-task across multiple and varying assignments; - Ability to generate and convey clear and concise status updates to management and stakeholders; - Strong Excel / Word /Access / Power Point presentation building skills (graphs, charts, design).
