Dow has an opportunity as a **Logistics Strategic Sourcing Specialist** located in **São Paulo (BRA).** The Logistics Strategic Sourcing Specialist creates value for Dow by defining sourcing opportunities, developing and aligning sourcing strategies, leveraging supplier relationships, analyzing market conditions, and negotiating with suppliers and internal partners to optimize sustained value for Dow. Dow’s Strategic Sourcing Process is used to accomplish this job. The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is accountable for all LA MPC (ensuring the best procurement approach for FCL, LCL, Isotanks, Flexitanks, Freight Forwarding, Cabotage) ) Logistics & Air Movements purchases., total spend is around USD45MM. Use of leadership and internal selling skills is required to deliver the required results. The Position also support global bidding process representing LA needs

**Responsibilities / Duties**
- Develop 3-5 year supply strategies for their assigned portfolio.
- Assess current supply position
- Collect/improve supplier, product, and market information
- Perform options generation exercise: material type, supplier selection, etc. options
- Identify strategic value savings opportunities
- Define implementation plans to deliver value on selected option(s).
- Communicate and gain alignment with business partners
- Appropriately consider supplier diversity
- Plan and conduct supplier negotiation per strategy documentation
- Define sourcing implementation plans and ensure successful implementation of all new commercial agreements
- Define express commercial agreement for implementation within SAP by the Business Supply Chain function
- Manage supplier relationships with strategic or key suppliers
- Executive communications with Dow and with the supplier
- Manage and maintain business partner communications
- Leads or co-leads Purchasing participation on VCTs and/or on specific businesses council
- Manages market dynamics - Price/Supply/Future trends
- Assess relative risk profile of the business partner related to services supply (Material supply and price vulnerability assessment)
- Sustainability risk assessment

**Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, science, or business or related field
- Proven record of value generation and commercial skills over the term of the business cycle is required.
- Fluence in English is mandatory, Spanish is a plus.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Project Leader certification is a plus.
