Test Lead

**About the job**:
Due to continued growth, our capabilities in Portugal are expanding and we are looking for Test Leads to join our team. This is a really exciting time to join us and work with some of the worlds’ best known brands and retailers such as Bosch, DFS, Johnson & Johnson, MAC, Nestlé, Sainsbury’s, Selfridges, Shell, Specialized, Tempur and Tiffany & Co.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure standard processes and practices are followed
- Execute and manage overall test effort
- Manage overall quality of the software
- Coach/train other Test Analysts on the team
- Plan, gather and maintain test data
- Coordinate code deployment and validate test environments
- Plan test script coverage
- Identify test issues, risks and blockers, and address them
- Collaborate with other team members
- Execute tests, analyse results, and log issues
- Identify, log, address and manage errors and defects
- Develop and manage metrics and prepare and present weekly progress reports
- Senior level hands on testing experience.
- Experience leading a testing team
- Full knowledge of the project lifecycle and experience of agile scrum methodology
- Experience of testing transactional eCommerce websites, ideally retail based.
- Able to work with both manual and automated test analysts, developers, solution designers and technical architects across multiple teams
- Experience using Jira
- Experience of generating accurate and concise reports and dashboards.
- Experience of liaising with customer and external third parties.
- Experience of querying databases using SQL.
- Basic Knowledge of UNIX
- Be highly motivated
- Have well-developed interpersonal skills
- Be a pragmatic solution provider and able to provide creative solutions to technical issues
- Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in ecommerce and software testing

When required, lead by example and be hands-on - execute tests, troubleshoot issues by studying logs or configurations, investigate data, setup test data, use business tooling, and generally help defect analysis

Would suit a senior test analyst looking to take on a more leading role.

- Senior level hands on testing experience.
- Experience leading a testing team
- Full knowledge of the project lifecycle and experience of agile scrum methodology
- Experience of testing transactional eCommerce websites, ideally retail based.

**If you know any of this even better**
- Retail sector, order management, warehouse, or fulfilment experience.
- Experience of using Selenium, Cucumber, Java automation frameworks.
- Experience testing SAP Hybris Applications
- Knowledge of the following technologies; Java, J2EE, DB2, DB Visualizer, SQL, XML, JSON, UNIX and MQ Series.
- Experience of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience testing eCommerce platforms like WebSphere Commerce, Intershop, and Magento
