Production Chief

**Team Overview and Job responsibilities**

We are looking for a Production Chief to join our team.

Based in Sorocaba, Brazil, reporting to Manufacturing Director, you will be responsible for coordinating and controlling the activities carried out in the various stages of production, organizing and oriented the services performed by the team, as well as the results and production of the factory, planning and controlling productivity, allocation of resources, sizing of labor, inputs and raw materials, stages of the production process, ensuring the achievement of pre-established levels of productivity and quality, monitoring and evaluating technical and managerial reports on the use of equipment, aiming to reduce maintenance costs, wear and tear and increase the productive capacity of each machine, according to procedures and technical norms, production plans, quality, safety and environment standards.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Organize and supervise production activities, according to the specifications and quality standards established, in order to ensure compliance with the company's objectives _.
- Supervise the execution of the annual plan of production goals, aiming at the optimization of available productive resources.
- Supervise the preparation of manufacturing schedules, aiming to ensure the best allocation of labor, equipment and materials.
- Participate in the preparation of expansion plans for industrial facilities, aiming to ensure that the company's future needs in terms of production capacity will be met.
- Participate in discussions regarding the development of new products, sharing his knowledge with other departments.
- Contribute to controlling the general expenses of the production department such as electricity, maintenance costs, raw materials, among others, in order to contribute to the cost reduction of the department.
- Analyze and evaluate the economic aspects of the production process, with regard to labor and quantity of materials consumed, in order to identify opportunities or alternatives that allow cost reduction.
- Ensure the maximization of labor efficiency as well as the use of necessary inputs in the production process.
- Develop procedures and determine guidelines for maintaining the workplace, with regard to cleaning, painting, conservation, among others, in order to keep the place in conditions that provide the best performance of employees and equipment.
- Define the work shifts necessary to balance the workforce, aiming to maintain the production flow and maximize the labor productivity.
- Analyze, develop and/or improve processes, equipment, tooling, among others, as well as establish process controls, in order to maximize the material productivity.
- Follow and control production performance, through the analysis of appropriate management indicators, proposing the necessary plans and actions, in order to ensure the achievement of pre-established goals and objectives.
- Analyze, together with Engineering and Quality departments, the needs to implement programs for the development of new equipment, products, automations, lay-out, processes, among others, aiming to contribute to increase the quality and competitiveness of products and participation of company market.
- Follow materials inspection and quality control activities for raw materials, work in-process, semi-finished and finished products, in order to ensure compliance with pre-established specifications and quality standards.
- Give instructions on the measures to be taken, in the event of an emergency or serious immediate risk, including when relevant, interruption of work activity and abandonment of the workplace or hazardous area.
- Require employees to individually comply with existing HSE procedures as well as company regulations in terms of environment, occupational safety and health, and in order for them to use the collective means of protection and personal protective equipment at their disposal, adopt measures to control environmental and safety risk situations.
- Ensure that the HSE tasks delegated to the factory are carried out correctly and in compliance with HSE legislation.
- Propose corrective actions and necessary improvements, as well as disciplinary actions to HR in case of non-compliance by employees.
- Multiply HSE training to Supervisors and Employees.
- Ensure that employees are provided with all means, PPE and instruments to work safely, preventing injuries and protecting their health and the environment, based on established requirements.
