**The team you will be a part of**:

- The Procurement team identifies researches and evaluates suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Recognizes and evaluate sales, promotional campaigns, and other opportunities to secure reduced prices. Assesses supplier's products to ensure that they comply with specifications and meet the organization's quality standards.

**This role in summary**:
**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Provide strategic and operational leadership for ~$70M annual commodity spend, supporting Whirlpool’s 4 manufacturing plants in South America
- Lead sourcing decisions, negotiate commercial terms, and generate contractual agreements with regional supply base for new and existing parts/services
- Create, measure, and execute team initiatives that optimize cost, quality, and product launch sourcing
- Build partnerships across all brands and product categories. Engage Marketing, Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Design to generate, and execute with speed, solutions to improve Whirlpool Corp. performance
- Manage financial performance of commodity through accurate monthly forecasting and long range planning

**Minimum requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering
- 3 years experience in supply chain / procurement

**Preferred skills and experiences**:

- Demonstrated use of project management skills
- Accountability for negotiation and commercial outcomes in a supplier facing environment
- Track record of improving bottom line results (cost and quality) Year over Year.
- Continuous improvement mindset with “operational know-how”.
- Demonstrated ability for problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail and desire to find the root cause problem of an issue.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with wide range of audiences

**Additional information**:
This position is located in Joinville, the largest city in the state of Santa Catarina, and an important industrial, financial and commercial center in the southern region of the country.
This plant concentrates the production of refrigerators, freezers, dryers, water purifiers and B-blend machines. In addition to being the headquarters in Brazil of the global research and development team for products in the areas of refrigeration, air conditioning, water purifiers, cooking and electronics.
