ABOUT THE ROLE
We are partnering with a global organization seeking an experienced BI Solutions Architect to lead the modernization and optimization of its Business Intelligence landscape across North America. This position offers the opportunity to play a critical role in shaping the data strategy, driving platform migrations, and enhancing reporting capabilities by leveraging cutting-edge Microsoft BI technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the migration of Power BI On-Prem solutions to a cloud-based Global Data Platform.

Align North America BI initiatives with global strategic roadmaps, in close partnership with enterprise architects.

Assess current self-service BI environments and develop scalable mid- and long-term strategies that enhance data literacy and governance.

Continuously monitor and improve the BI ecosystem, including Power BI Premium Capacity management.

Design and implement complex data and reporting solutions in collaboration with Data Management and business stakeholders.

Define and enforce BI development standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.

Act as a subject matter expert, ensuring that BI initiatives adhere to corporate and technical standards.

Perform capacity planning, manage licenses, software renewals, and ensure version compliance.

Troubleshoot performance issues and support the rollout of new BI tools and features.

Analyze data requirements, document data sources, and provide technical input on solution design.

Support cross-functional teams by aligning reporting needs with robust and scalable technical solutions.

Drive the evolution of data visualization capabilities by contributing to design, development, and deployment efforts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence roles, particularly with Microsoft BI stack (Power BI, SQL Server, SSRS, SSAS).

Expertise in Power BI report development, DAX, and data modeling (star schema).

Advanced SQL proficiency for performance-optimized data querying.

Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and BI architecture.

Experience with Azure DevOps, Tabular Models, and familiarity with Python or Scala is a plus.

Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite with the ability to support business users across levels.
