We are seeking an experienced accounting and controlling professional to join our São Paulo team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing deliverables from external service providers, conducting detailed budget analyses, and preparing financial reports as needed.

About Us:

Point Break is a private investment fund backed by a group of highly successful Brazilian entrepreneurs. The firm has offices in Miami and São Paulo and operates with a lean, high-performance team.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Prepare and review accounting, tax, and financial reports prepared by external service providers, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to deadlines for entities based in the US, Brazil and offshore jurisdictions.

Prepare and review company budgets and forecasts, identifying significant variances and provide clear analytical insights for decision-making.

Prepare and review internal financial and management reports when required.

Support accounting, tax, and controlling matters across multiple jurisdictions and entities.

As needed: process daily accounting transactions, account monitoring, reconciliations and journal entries; oversee Brazil payroll calculations and filings (FGTS, INSS, IRRF); assist with regulatory filings (eSocial, RDE-IED, DCBE); support tax calculations and regulatory obligations.

Communicate directly in English with international service providers.

Requirements:

Experience:
at least 5 years of experience in accounting and/or controlling. Experience reviewing external vendor deliverables.


Language Skills:
Fluent in English for daily communication.


Technical Skills:
Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential.

Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy. Proactive, resilient, and hardworking.
